SANA SANA

A sanctuary of sound, movement & ancestral healing presented by La Sonora & Sound and Movement

Sana Sana invites you to rest, move, and remember in a plant-filled sanctuary of sound. Inspired by the childhood rhyme “Sana sana, culito de rana, si no sanas hoy, sanaras mañana” this gathering holds tender space for us to heal mind, body, and spirit together.

Join us for an afternoon where sound and movement become medicine.

Featuring movement set to the curated sounds of our ancestors, a heart awakening cacao circle led by Jícara Ancestral Remedies, and an immersive soundbath led by Estephanie Rose, founder of Sound and Movement. A first-generation Peruvian-Marylander, meditative sound facilitator, trauma-informed yoga practitioner, and multidisciplinary artist, Estephanie Rose will carry you into gentle waves of release, restoration, and ancestral remembering with over 15 instruments ranging from flutes to crystal bowls as well as sounds reminiscent of the natural world around us, reminding us of our collective home.

Through ritual, vibration, and movement, Sana Sana is a pause to reconnect — with ancestral knowledge, with each other, and with the deep, healing wisdom that lives in sound, breath, and motion.

Stem & Vine’s bar will be open — sip, settle, and let the frequencies carry you home.

GATHERING GUIDE

Bring blankets, pillows, and something to lay on, such as a yoga mat, to craft your own sanctuary within the space so you can comfortably lie, rest, meditate, and move in community, tuning into your own inner rhythm. Disposable eye masks will be provided to enhance your soundbath experience.

What is a soundbath?

A soundbath is a deeply-immersive whole-being listening experience aka a live sound meditation that includes therapeutic sound/musical instruments. The healing vibrations of live sound can help relax the nervous system, rejuvenate the mind and refresh the soul; leaving us feeling more connected to the world within and around us. No experience necessary.
